Most people don’t start a company because of windows. I didn’t either.

My background has always been around building — developing projects, working on construction sites, thinking about how buildings actually come together and perform over time.

The more projects I was involved in, the more I started paying attention to something bigger than finishes or layouts.

I became fascinated with building science.

The components that quietly determine how a building performs for decades — insulation, air sealing, moisture control, and the openings that connect inside to outside.

Windows sit right in the middle of that system.

They influence energy performance, comfort, durability, acoustics, and even how a space feels when you live in it.

Over time I became really interested in the way European systems approach this problem — treating windows not as simple products, but as high-performance building components designed to work as part of the overall envelope.

  • Quality multi-chamber frames.
  • Multi-point locking hardware.
  • Tight seals and long-term durability.

It’s a philosophy centered around longevity and performance, not price.

That curiosity eventually led me to start Summit Windows.

The goal is simple: bring better window systems into the buildings we’re designing and constructing today — products that improve the lifecycle performance of the building and the comfort of the people inside it.

We manufacture high performance, uPVC window systems here in Washington and work closely with architects, builders, and developers who care about how their buildings perform years down the road.

Still early days for us, but it’s exciting to be part of a growing shift in the industry toward better building envelopes and longer-lasting buildings.
